Uttarakhand Police chief Abhinav Kumar has directed district police chiefs to take strict motion towards drivers and homeowners of automobiles driving inebriated and people dashing or overloading as a part of a slew of measures to verify street accidents amid a collection of mishaps within the state.

In a letter despatched on Thursday, Kumar requested them to verify licenses of bars and pubs working till late at night time and act towards these making a nuisance and ingesting/serving liquor in public locations.
