Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadvavis retained the House Ministry as portfolio allocations had been introduced on Saturday night. Deputy Chief Minister was allotted the Finance division whereas Eknath Shinde bought the City Growth portfolio. Mahayuti leaders had met on Friday to debate the matter and later held a breakfast assembly with the CM on Saturday.

Fadnavis and his deputies had taken oath on December 5 after the ruling alliance secured a landslide return to energy within the state. 39 ministers belonging to the BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP additionally took oath on December 15 — a day earlier than the Winter Session of the state meeting started in Nagpur.
