Sompo Thailand Names Aditya Tibrewala as Chief Actuary
Aditya Tibrewala, appointed as Sompo Thailand’s new Chief Actuary, represents a major turning point in his remarkable career with Sompo Asia Pacific (APAC). Beginning his journey with Sompo in 2016, Tibrewala joined the company, serving as Chief Actuary. Starting from the corporate headquarters of the company, he has held many significant executive positions within the regional leadership team ever since.
Originally Chief Consumer Officer, Tibrewala helped Sompo’s consumer operations all throughout the APAC region run smoothly. His responsibilities went beyond basic customer service; he also oversaw operational and technical elements to ensure the company’s goods remained competitive and innovative.
Tibrewala’s switch to Chief Actuary at Sompo Thailand is meant to provide the company’s operations in Thailand new strategic direction and fresh viewpoint, as well as some degree of competency. He will continue reporting straight to Kenneth Reilly, Asia Pacific’s Chief Executive Officer, who greeted Tibrewala’s appointment with great enthusiasm.

Having worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years, Tibrewala’s depth of knowledge and experience is evident. Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK, he has during his career made significant contributions to the global non-life insurance sector. His new role will be to support Sompo Thailand’s strategic objectives with actuarial expertise, thereby ensuring the company remains at the forefront of innovation and excellence in the insurance industry.
In his new position, Tibrewala is supposed to enhance the solid foundation of Sompo Thailand by focusing on product improvement and market presence enhancement. His leadership will be crucial in boosting Sompo Thailand’s development and success, thereby benefiting the company and its consumers.
