The Mumbai police on Saturday arrested a person from Punjab in reference to the homicide of NCP chief Baba Siddique, PTI reported.
Akashdeep Karajsingh Gill, 22, was arrested by Punjab’s Fazilka district and was held by the Mumbai Crime Department in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Job Drive (AGTF) of the northern state. That is the twenty fourth arrest within the case.
“He supplied logistic assist within the capturing. He was held from Fazilka tehsil there. Gill is being dropped at Mumbai on transit remand for additional authorized motion,” an unidentified official was quoted as saying by PTI.
The NCP chief was gunned down on October 12 close to his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique’s workplace in Bandra East’s Nirmal Nagar space by three assailants.
On November 10, the Mumbai Crime Department and the Uttar Pradesh Particular Job Drive arrested Shiv Kumar – the alleged most important shooter – from Nanpara in UP’s Bahraich district. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed the accountability for the homicide.
