Basil Alliance raises seed funding to expand AlcoBev portfolio

Basil Alliance, an alcoholic beverages company founded by Vibhuti Dixit, has raised an undisclosed amount in its seed funding round from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). This investment will enable the company to expand its footprint and accelerate its growth in India’s rapidly evolving AlcoBev market.

The company’s portfolio includes wines, ready-to-drink products, and gins, with brands such as Glenside D’Vine and Jacobson gaining significant traction in the Delhi NCR region.

“India’s AlcoBev industry is evolving, moving beyond just satisfying thirst to providing an immersive experience,” said Dixit. “With the increasing demand for quality imported liquor and a growing appreciation for premium products, we are proud to offer a diverse range that caters to the tastes of the modern Indian consumer,” he said.

Ankur Mittal, co-founder of Inflection Point Ventures, shared his enthusiasm for the investment: “India’s AlcoBev sector is experiencing robust growth, driven by changing consumer preferences. We believe that Basil Alliance is well-positioned to lead the charge with its unique approach to bringing international products to Indian consumers, and we are excited to support them on their growth journey.”

Currently, Basil Alliance operates across seven states, fully owning all its brands and leveraging a strong distribution network to strengthen its market presence. With the AlcoBev market in India valued at USD 1.3 billion, the company sees immense growth potential ahead.
