Bertha Crucet has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay
The Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, a towering hotel located on Biscayne Bay in Miami, is pleased to announce Bertha Crucet’s appointment to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing. In her new position, Crucet will create and carry out marketing plans and sales campaigns to maximize earnings and facilitate the property’s ongoing expansion following a $60 million makeover.
With 25 years of experience in the hospitality, sales, catering, and operations sectors, Crucet brings a track record of excellence in boosting profitability and surpassing targets for top line revenue, clientele, and retention to this position. With a history with the waterfront property dating back to 1999, Crucet refers to the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay as her “home hotel.” She has held a number of positions there, including group housing coordinator, catering sales manager, senior catering sales and executive, and destination sales executive. Her most recent position was with Marriott Multi-Hotel Sales South, where she oversaw teams of sales representatives who catered to 57 hotels and resorts.
Crucet started working for Marriott in 1998, and since then, she has been recognized for her accomplishments with over a dozen awards and nominations. She has won the prestigious Chairman’s Circle Award four times, and in 2013 she was nominated for the JW Marriott Award of Excellence. Her recent inclusion in the Emerging Leader Program is an honor that she has earned for being a high-achieving leader who has proven her ability to succeed and grow.
Crucet’s favorite pastimes are exploring the neighborhood, going fishing, boating, and visiting neighboring islands with her husband and their adolescent twin boys. They also like going to baseball games, as they own season tickets for the Miami Marlins.
