The Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) will maintain a peaceable protest on Monday to protest the assault by pro-Khalistani components on the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Canada’s Brampton, information company ANI reported.
The protest can be held on the temple and in addition on the Laxmi Narayan Temple in Surrey to specific solidarity towards “Khalistani intimidation” and “anti-Hindu” hatred.
“Be a part of us for a peaceable protest tomorrow, November 4th, at 6 PM at Hindu Sabha Temple, Brampton and Laxmi Narayan Temple, Surrey. After a day of violence towards Hindu temples in Canada, let’s stand united towards Khalistani intimidation and anti-Hindu hate,” the organisation wrote in a publish on X.
Earlier, the organisation shared a video of the assault. Hindu Canadian Basis, a non-profit organisation, alleged that Khalistani “terrorists attacked youngsters and ladies”.
The Indian Excessive Fee in Canada described the assault as a “violent disruption” by “anti-India” components and expressed concern for the security of Indian nationals.
“It’s deeply disappointing to see such disruptions being allowed for routine counsular work being organised by our consulated with the fullest cooperation of the native co-organizers. We additionally stay very involved for the security of candidates, together with Indian nationals, on whose demand such occasions are organized within the first place,” the assertion added.
The assault sparked widespread condemnation from political circles in Canada, together with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Canadian opposition chief Pierre Poilievre termed the incident as “utterly unacceptable”. Canadian MP Chandra Arya mentioned the miscreants crossed the “pink line” and flagged the rise of “brazen violent extremism” in Canada.
Trudeau condemned the assault and pressured that each Canadian citizen has the “proper to apply their religion freely and safely”.
“The acts of violence on the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton at present are unacceptable. Each Canadian has the correct to apply their religion freely and safely. Thanks to the Peel Regional Police for swiftly responding to guard the group and examine this incident,” Trudeau wrote in a publish on X.
