Diego Padula has been named general manager of the Bay Islands-based Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort & Spa.
Diego Padula has been named General Manager of Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort & Spa, a luxury and lifestyle property under IHG Hotels & Resorts. As a seasoned executive in the upscale hospitality sector, Padula contributes a plethora of knowledge to Roatán’s inaugural international branded hotel offering.
Padula, who is originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, brings over 20 years of experience opening and running luxury hotels in Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe to the leadership team at Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort & Spa. Padula most recently held the position of General Manager at Soho House Mexico City and Mondrian Mexico City Condesa, where he led the brand’s first Latin American property grand openings with success. He worked for six years in the Middle East, helping to open the W Muscat in Oman and the W Dubai Mina Seyahi in the United Arab Emirates, before taking on these positions. Padula became the youngest recipient of Placer Magazine’s “Maître of the Year” award in its history when she received the honor in 2006.
As General Manager of the Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort & Spa, Padula will oversee the resort’s daily hotel operations, uphold quality standards, and guarantee guest satisfaction, continuing his successful career in hospitality. Padula’s experience in the hospitality industry throughout the world has given him the ability to elevate and localize well-known brands from the viewpoint of the customer.
