Francisco Macedo has joined Iconic Luxury Hotels Limited as SVP of Asset Management

Francisco Macedo has joined Iconic Luxury Hotels Limited as SVP of Asset Management.

Executive Director of Iconic Luxury Hotels Andrew Stembridge announced today that Francisco Macedo, who was previously Group Operations Director of Iconic Luxury Hotels and General Manager of Cliveden House, has been promoted to Senior Vice President Asset Management, Iconic Luxury Hotels – International.

As a division of L+R Hotels, Iconic Luxury Hotels is a family-run international hotel management and investment firm with over 115 properties and 23,000 beds spread throughout the UK, Europe, the US, and the Caribbean. Iconic Luxury Hotels was established in December 2016 and is a growing chain of owned and operated hotels with a unique blend of establishments that honor unique architectural designs, cultural legacies, and scenic locales. While each has its own personality, customs, and history, they are all dedicated to providing exceptional experiences.

Francisco Macedo joined Cliveden in September 2018 and has management experience across a wide range of hotel properties. He was recognized as the 40th Anniversary of the Catey Awards’ “Manager of the Year 2023.” Past positions held include those of General Manager at the five-star Bovey Castle in Devon (2015–2018); Operations Manager at The Manor at Weston on the Green (2012–2013) and Stapleford Park Country House Hotel (2013–2015); Manager of Restaurants and Bars at Luton Hoo Hotel Golf & Spa (2010–2012); and Director of Food & Beverage at Pestana Hotel Group (2006–2010) and Tivoli Hotels & Resort Group in Portugal and Brazil (2000–2006).

On the Portuguese island of Madeira, Francisco was born. A few of my recent accomplishments in the last year have been receiving academic recognition for the Cornell Certificate in Hospitality Marketing in Uncertain Times and the Cornell Diploma on Real Estate and Asset Management. After receiving a St. Julian’s Scholarship from the Worshipful Company of Innholders, Lord Forte Foundation, Savoy Educational Trust, and the Master Innholders, he enrolled in Cornell University’s prestigious Worldwide General Managers Program. Francisco became the youngest member to hold the title of Master Innholder in 2021 after being made a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Innholders and a Freeman of the City of London. In 2024, he was elevated to the rank of Liveryman of The Worshipful Company of Innholders.
