The Congress on Wednesday reiterated its demand for Union residence minister Amit Shah’s resignation over the Bharatiya Janata Celebration chief’s comment on Dr BR Ambedkar within the Rajya Sabha a day in the past.
“Yesterday, Union Residence Minister Amit Shah stated one thing which could be very condemnable. It’s unlucky {that a} Dalit, who must be worshiped, was insulted. I’m compelled to say that these individuals (BJP-led NDA authorities) do not consider within the Structure,” ANI quoted Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge as saying.
Criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for defending Shah, Kharge added,”These individuals don’t consider within the Structure. They discuss Manusmriti…PM Modi made 6 tweets to defend Amit Shah. What was the necessity for this? If somebody says mistaken about BR Ambedkar, he must be faraway from the cupboard. However they’re pals and are supporting one another’s sins…”
