Julius U. Biswas Joins Ayatana Resorts as Senior Corporate Executive Chef

 

In Karnataka, India, Julius U. Biswas recently started working as the Senior Executive Chef (Corporate) at Ayatana Resorts. As the head of culinary operations for all Ayatana Resorts, Julius will oversee culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.

Julius founded and held the position of Managing Director of JB Culinary Solutions Pvt. Ltd. prior to joining Ayatana Resorts. In this role, he helped culinary startups grow and develop by offering them comprehensive solutions.

Julius previously worked at Evolve Back Resorts in Hampi as the Executive Chef. He was in charge of hiring and developing staff, managing vendor relations, supervising the entire food and beverage operation, and making sure that food safety laws were followed. Through teamwork and ongoing feedback review, his efforts were instrumental in raising customer satisfaction.

At RVR Sarovar Portico in Dindi, Julius oversaw the food and beverage operations for a range of dining establishments, including multicuisine restaurants, local cuisine options, and sizable banqueting services. He also held the position of Executive Chef there.

Julius was the Unit Executive Chef at Swiggy in Kolkata, where he oversaw kitchen operations at the unit level and helped the Cluster Chef with city operations. He contributed to the uniformity and caliber of food offerings by creating standard operating procedures for a number of brands.

A notable period of his career was spent as Sous Chef (Chef In-Charge) at Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited in Varca Goa, where he oversaw the operations and production of food and drink for a sizable resort with several dining options.

Other culinary roles that Julius has held include Head Chef at MAYFAIR Hotels & Resorts in Darjeeling, Senior Sous Chef at Eldeco Group in Jalandhar, and Head Chef at Zuri Hotels & Resorts in Baiguney, Sikkim. He has worked in a variety of culinary capacities at prestigious locations, including The Oberoi Grand Kolkata, Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa, Vedic Village Resort & SPA, and Grosvenor House Dubai.

Julius has completed a three-year Diploma in Hotel Management from K.I.H.M., accredited by the London College of Management, and a Diploma in Hospitality Management from Alison, CPD Certified in London, UK. He attended St. Mary’s Orphanage & Day School in Dum Dum, Kolkata, and St. Lawrence High School in Ballygunge, Kolkata, for his higher secondary education in commerce.
