A search operation was carried out in Tangmarg and a number of other elements of Jammu and Kashmir because the Indian Military and Police intensified their searches to hint the accused in terror assaults in Gulmarg in Baramulla in north Kashmir and Gagangir in Ganderbal district of the union territory.

On October 24, two Military troopers and two civilian porters have been killed after terrorists attacked a navy automobile in Baramulla. Earlier on October 20, a physician and 6 building staff have been killed when terrorists attacked a tunnel building website on the Srinagar-Leh nationwide freeway in Ganderbal district.

The terrorists struck because the labourers and different employees returned to their camp in Gund, Ganderbal. The incident raised severe concern as this was a focused killing by the terrorists.
