Minor Hotels Names Richard Beh as New Vice President, Commercial, Asia
Richard Beh, Vice President, Commercial, Asia, was hired by minor hotels starting on April 1, 2024. Beh will operate in his new role as Head of Asia, directly under Ian Di Tullio, Chief Commercial Officer for Minor Hotels, based in the corporate headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand. Beh was Global Vice President of Hotel Chains at Trip.com, a travel service with a global footprint, prior to joining Minor Hotels.
Beh will supervise the entire regional strategy at Minor Hotels using a comprehensive approach to sales, marketing, e-commerce, revenue, and distribution across all Minor Hotels brands in Asia—including Anantara, Avani, Oaks, Tivoli, NH, and NH Collection. His duties include providing strategic direction to hotel sales and marketing staff in addition to assisting the Global Sales Organization increase commercial performance across minor-operated properties.
When Beh joined Marriott International in 2006 as Director of Sales & Marketing for the Renaissance Melaka Hotel, his professional path took a sharp turn. Fast ascending through the ranks, he joined The Ritz-Carlton in 2014 as Area Director of Sales & Marketing (China). Using his premium credentials, Vice President of Sales and Distribution for the Shangri-La Group improved customer experiences and money-generating tactics throughout the spectrum of expensive hotels in his next job.
Richard Beh, a native of Malaysia, speaks five languages fluently and has a Bachelor of Marketing degree from Sunway University and a Master of Business Administration from HELP University, both in Malaysia.
