HYATT Hotels in Turkey has appointed Rufat Babayev, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Istanbul, as the new Area Vice President.
29 years ago, Rufat Babayev started working at the Hyatt Regency Baku. He started work at the Hyatt Regency Warsaw in 2005, moving to the Hyatt Regency Kiev shortly after. 2015 saw him promoted to General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki after working at the company’s Chicago headquarters in 2014. Since taking over as general manager of the Grand Hyatt Istanbul in 2019, Babayev has significantly improved both the hotel’s standing in the community and the level of guest satisfaction.
Rufat Babayev’s new position will see him in charge of the strategic management of Hyatt hotels in Turkey. With his wealth of industry knowledge and experience, he will continue to support the expansion of the Hyatt family in the area as well as the success of Hyatt hotels in Turkey. Babayev will reaffirm the Hyatt family’s dedication to offering its visitors first-rate service.
