Ankush Sharma has been promoted to Director of Development by Sarovar Hotels in recognition of his extensive 22-year career in the hospitality industry. In his new position, Sharma brings a wealth of experience in project management, e-commerce, sales and marketing, and operations management.
Significant accomplishments throughout Sharma’s career include the opening of the Ramee Rose Hotel in Bahrain, where he oversaw 108 rooms, 8 F&B outlets, and a spa. Under his direction, the hotel raised the bar and won awards for satisfied customers in 2015 and 2016 from websites like Booking.com. Both the all-day dining option and the Chinese specialty restaurant on the property have nominations for Bahrain Citi Fact Awards.

His prior positions at Sarovar Hotels led to a nomination for Best General Manager of the Year 2018–19, which is evidence of his inventiveness and leadership in the hospitality industry. Sharma has opened hotels and spas in India and abroad, thanks to his proficiency in launching new businesses. He has also developed popular restaurant concepts.
Sharma gained experience in front office management and guest services while working at Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris and InterContinental Hotels Group before accepting his current role at Sarovar Hotels.
Sharma graduated from Bangalore University with a bachelor’s degree in hotel management and Amity University with an MBA in marketing and HR. His professional success and his capacity to meet financial targets, even in difficult economic times, have been largely attributed to his proficiency in revenue management, online marketing, and relationship building.
With his extensive industry experience and dedication to providing exceptional hospitality, Sharma is anticipated to spearhead additional expansion and innovation within Sarovar Hotels in his new position.
