Shangri-La Bengaluru Welcome Shireen Sheriff as Director of Marketing and Communications
BENGALURU, INDIA – JANUARY 2025 – Shangri-La Bengaluru, a benchmark for luxury and Asian hospitality in the city, is delighted to announce the appointment of Shireen Sheriff as its new Director of Marketing and Communications. With an illustrious career spanning over 20 years across hospitality, retail, and luxury industries, Shireen brings a wealth of expertise and a fresh perspective to the iconic property.
Shireen’s professional journey began at the Taj Fisherman’s Cove in Chennai, and since then, she has held key positions in India , Middle East and Southeast Asia, most recently serving as a Consultant for Marketing and PR. Her work has been instrumental in elevating the profiles of luxury brands across the hospitality and retail sectors, with a special focus on digital innovation, branding, and guest engagement strategies.
As part of her vision, Shireen aims to integrate sustainability into all facets of the guest experience, from innovative digital touchpoints to on-property initiatives. She states, “It’s about offering guests not just luxury, but moments of connection and authenticity. Our goal is to offer guests a seamless journey, enriched by technology, while paving the way for a more sustainable future in hospitality,” Shireen remarked.
The hotel’s seven dining outlets, including the celebrated Shang Palace, Ssaffron, and Yataii, as well as the CHI Spa, will remain at the core of its offerings under Shireen’s leadership, alongside a renewed focus on storytelling and digital innovation.
