SpiceJet Employee’s Altercation with Airport Police: What Happened?
After a fight over security checks at the Jaipur airport, a SpiceJet employee hit a male assistant sub-inspector, leading to her imprisonment. An airport CCTV camera captured the event.
Anuradha Rani was stopped by assistant sub-inspector Giriraj Prasad, according to CISF authorities, for not having the authorization to enter via a gate as she was approaching the airport at 4 am with other staff members. Then, they said, Ms. Anuradha was ordered to go through screening for airline workers at a neighboring entrance, although at that time, there were no female CISF employees there.
According to Jaipur airport station house officer Ram Lal, the female employee slapped the assistant sub-inspector when the latter asked for a female colleague to do the security check. The disagreement had already escalated.
A SpiceJet representative stated in an official statement that the worker has a “valid airport entry pass.”. Additionally, according to the firm, the female employee was “asked to come and meet him at his home after his duty hours and was subjected to inappropriate and unacceptable language by the CISF personnel.”

A terrible incident involving a female SpiceJet security employee and a male CISF man happened at Jaipur Airport today. Our female security staff member, who was escorting a catering vehicle at the steel gate, was subjected to inappropriate and unacceptable language by the CISF personnel, including asking her to come and meet him at his home after his duty hours. She had a valid airport entry pass issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), India’s civil aviation security regulator,” a SpiceJet spokesperson said.
SpiceJet has contacted the local police and is taking swift legal action in response to this serious incidence of sexual harassment against a female employee. We completely back our employee and will do all in our power to help her,” the spokesman continued.
Under articles 121 (1) (voluntarily inflicting pain to discourage a public servant from his job) and 132 (assaulting a public servant) of Bharat Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), police have filed a complaint against the female employee.
