Taniya Chandra has been named as the new Head of Marketing & Communication by Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East. Her duties cover the entire network of Mercedes-Benz General Distributors (MBGD).
With its main office in Dubai, MBGD serves as the central hub for managing strategy and business transformation. Its mission is to enhance business operations and communication throughout Southeast Asia (SEA), Latin America (LATAM), Africa, Central Eastern Europe (CEE), and the Middle East.
Natalie Thompson, who assumed the role of CEO of Mercedes-Benz Romania, is replaced by Chandra.
Chandra is a Singaporean engineering graduate with a wide range of international experience. She is described by the group as an empathetic, goal-oriented, self-driven, and inspirational leader. Her teams are genuinely empowered by her to push boundaries, rethink engagement, and provide distinctive and memorable customer experiences and communications.

She brings a wealth of international experience to her role and has a deep understanding of the market having grown up and worked in the region in the past.
