The Hutton Hotel has named French Rankin General Manager of Food and Beverage.
In her role as General Manager of Food and Beverage Operations, Rankin is in charge of managing every aspect of the food and beverage division, which includes Evelyn’s, the hotel’s Americana-inspired dining destination, and Analog, the live music venue. Strong local partnerships, outstanding hospitality, and locally sourced, farm-to-table freshness are key components of his vision for the hotel’s dining experiences. With the opening of Evelyn’s to the Nashville community, Rankin hopes to maintain the elegant and distinctive ambiance of the restaurant, which drew inspiration from Evelyn Sharp, the restaurant’s namesake. Rankin’s enthusiasm for crafting unique experiences is a wonderful fit with the hotel’s commitment to excellence.
Rankin, who is originally from a small town in northwest Nebraska, attended the Scottsdale Culinary Institute to further his love of cooking before starting a lucrative career that includes several prominent roles. Rankin has a wealth of experience. He was the General Manager of The Palm in Nashville, where he oversaw a staff of more than 100 employees and over $9.4 million in revenue annually. In addition, he was the owner and operator of Samuel’s by Chef French in Chattanooga, which demonstrated his aptitude for cooking and entrepreneurial spirit.
