A verification drive was carried out to establish unlawful immigrants from Bangladesh, following orders from Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena final month.

Police stated that on January 6, the RK Puram Police Station crew apprehended a 32-year-old Bangladeshi man, Mohammad Akkas Ali, alias Akash. Police obtained a tip-off that he was making an attempt to lease a room within the Ekta Vihar space.
