The US mentioned Tuesday it was not concerned within the killing of a senior Russian military officer in an operation claimed by Ukraine, however denounced his “atrocities.”
“I can inform you that america was not conscious of it upfront and was not concerned,” State Division spokesman Matthew Miller mentioned of the killing of Igor Kirillov, the top of the Russian military’s chemical weapons division.
However Miller pointed to earlier US assessments that Kirillov — the senior-most Russian army determine assassinated since Moscow invaded Ukraine — had ordered the usage of riot management brokers on the battlefield in violation of the Chemical Weapons Conference.
