The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) mentioned its high chief Sukhbir Singh Badal had a slim escape on Wednesday morning after a person opened hearth outdoors the Golden Temple, concentrating on the chief, whereas he was performing the responsibility of ‘sewadar’ as a part of the non secular punishment pronounced on him by the Sikh clergy.

The incident was caught on digicam by a person who seemed to be filming the scenes outdoors the Golden Temple when a gunshot was heard.

The video confirmed a person carrying a blue turban opening hearth and being nabbed by the folks current there inside seconds.

The shooter has been recognized Narain Singh Chaura, allegedly a former militant, who faces many circumstances and has remained underground.

On the time of the incident, Narain Singh Chaura was standing near Sukhbir Singh Badal. When opened hearth at Sukhbir Badal, a ‘sewadar’ standing close by pushed his hand towards upside, saving the SAD chief.

Sukhbir Badal’s non secular punishment

Sukhbir Singh Badal has been on the Golden Temple to carry out the responsibility of a ‘sewadar’ or volunteer outdoors the Golden Temple beneath ‘tankhah’ (non secular punishment) pronounced by the Sikh clergy.

Holding a spear in a single hand, Badal, in blue ‘sewadar’ uniform, Sukhbir Singh Badal was on the entrance of the Golden Temple in his wheelchair on Tuesday, serving his punishment. He has a fractured leg.

Akali chief Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, who was additionally in a wheelchair due to his age, underwent the identical punishment, whereas former Punjab ministers Bikram Singh Majithia and Daljit Singh Cheema washed utensils.

Small boards hung across the necks of Badal and Dhindsa, acknowledging their “misdeeds”. Each leaders served as ‘sewadar’ for one hour.

Saying the ‘tankhah’ (non secular punishment) for Badal and different leaders for the “errors” dedicated by the Shiromani Akali Dal authorities in Punjab from 2007 to 2017, the Sikh clergy on the Akal Takht on Monday directed the senior Akali chief to function a ‘sewadar’, and wash dishes and clear footwear on the Golden Temple.
