The St. Regis Abu Dhabi’s Wanalee Samutkhochorn has been appointed as the new director of spa.
She is renowned for her pre-opening tactics and financial acumen in spa operations, elevating the property’s wellness offerings and improving guests’ well-being journeys. She has a distinguished background in spa operations and hospitality management.
She has worked with multicultural employees in a variety of settings, as evidenced by her international experience in Tanzania, India, Jordan, and Taiwan.

The director of spa at The Ritz-Carlton Spa in Amman, Jordan, where she oversaw the pre-opening team and played a key role in the triumphant introduction of the customized treatment menu and wellness membership program, was one of Samutkhochorn’s career highlights prior to joining The Spa at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi. Under her direction, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental in Taipei, Taiwan, saw a notable increase in revenue and high guest satisfaction ratings. She also held the position of director of spa and wellness there.
Samutkhochorn arranged monthly workshops and wellness activities encompassing mental, physical, and spiritual aspects at the ELEMIS Spa at The St. Regis Bangkok, Thailand. She coordinated do-it-yourself classes with the goal of bringing in retail sales and worked with visiting practitioners who came to the office. High levels of guest satisfaction were maintained by Samutkhochorn through regular collection and implementation of guest feedback. She successfully connected outcomes with sales and marketing initiatives while driving and overseeing spa performance through key performance indicators. Her actions enhanced the caliber of services and boosted spa patronage.
