Chef Sanjiv Kumar Joins The Fern, Goregaon as Executive Chef

The Fern, Goregaon, is excited to welcome Chef Sanjiv Kumar as their new Executive Chef. Chef Sanjiv brings a wealth of experience in food production and a keen understanding of market trends, aiming to elevate the hotel’s culinary operations.

In his new role, Chef Sanjiv will oversee several dining venues at The Fern, Goregaon. These include Alfresco, the lobby-level multi-cuisine restaurant; Fleur, known for its all-day global delicacies; and a new rooftop restaurant that will specialize in Lebanese cuisine.

Chef Sanjiv’s impressive career spans fine dining and upscale restaurants, with expertise in modern and classic European, Pan-Asian, and Indian cuisines. He has collaborated with renowned chefs like Philip John Ture and Rolf Wieser, and he excels in menu engineering, quality control, and financial management.

His previous roles include positions at Radisson Blu Pune, The Creative Lunch Restaurant, Madeleine Bakery & Brasserie, Ibis & Novotel Techpark, The Lalit Ashok, The Leela Palace, Intercontinental, Hilton, Sheraton, and Le Meridien. Chef Sanjiv’s ability to enhance service quality and streamline operations is well-recognized. He is skilled in controlling food and labor costs, developing menus, and managing culinary teams, all of which prepare him to drive culinary excellence at The Fern, Goregaon.

Chef Sanjiv holds certifications in Serve Safe, ISO 22000, OSHA, and HACCP, underscoring his commitment to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. His dedication to culinary excellence aligns perfectly with The Fern, Goregaon’s vision.
