Jasvir Belwal has been named the Sofitel Mumbai BKC’s new director of operations.
Most recently, Jasvir Belwal worked for two years as the Director of Rooms at The Ritz-Carlton Bengaluru. Creating the Rooms Division’s annual business plan and monthly forecast, as well as maximizing employee productivity through multitasking, flexible scheduling, and multiskilling to meet both the business’s financial goals and guest expectations, were among his responsibilities here. He also planned and implemented effective training programs for all front office staff, enabling them to deliver exceptional customer service within brand guidelines.
Prior to assuming this role, Jasvir held several prominent roles at different Marriott and Hyatt properties in India and Sri Lanka. He had previously worked at the Marriott Weligama Bay Resort & Spa as the Director of Rooms. Jasvir graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management in Hyderabad in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Hospitality Management.
Jasvir will use his more than 19 years of experience working at some of the best luxury, business, and leisure hotels in the nation in his new position as Director of Operations at Sofitel Mumbai BKC to significantly improve guest and employee satisfaction, guest room profitability, and operations and facility management. His primary areas of competence are forecasting, budgeting, and Rev Max procedures; motivating teams via coaching, development, and training; and promptly adjusting to constantly changing trends.
