Vikas Rana Receives Promotion at The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts to Director of Procurement
At The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, Vikas Rana has been elevated to the position of Director of Procurement. In order to maximize purchasing strategies and promote operational excellence throughout the organization, he will use his vast experience in supply chain management and procurement in this esteemed position.
Vikas’s employment with The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts started out as an assistant purchase manager in New Delhi, where he rapidly proved his aptitude for effectively overseeing procurement procedures. He was later appointed as Purchase Manager there as well, demonstrating his leadership abilities and in-depth knowledge of the procurement requirements of the hospitality industry.
Vikas worked as the purchase manager at InterContinental Hotels Group in New Delhi before joining The Leela. In this role, he was in charge of managing procurement procedures and making sure the hotel received supplies and services without a hitch.
During his previous career, Vikas held notable positions like Material Executive at Hilton Worldwide, Mayur Vihar, where he played a crucial role in overseeing inventory and supplier relations. His procurement and materials management abilities were further refined while he was employed as a Purchase Supervisor at The Claridges Hotels & Resorts in Delhi.
His first job in the field was as a finance assistant at The Oberoi Group, where he gained a solid understanding of financial processes and how they relate to procurement activities.
Vikas Rana has advanced skills in business management and strategic operations thanks to his MBA in Operations and International Business from Amity University. Additionally, he graduated from Zakir Hussain College with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, which helped to establish the foundation for his proficiency in procurement and financial management.
Vikas Rana is qualified to oversee the procurement operations at The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, guaranteeing effective and strategic sourcing to support the group’s opulent offerings thanks to his broad experience and demonstrated track record in supply chain management and procurement.
