Ben McKethan has been named general manager of Blowing Rock’s The Embers Hotel

Ben McKethan has been named general manager of Blowing Rock’s The Embers Hotel.

McKethan, who is originally from the High Country, earned a degree in hospitality and tourism management from Appalachian State University in 2003. His prior employment at several Blowing Rock properties, such as Meadowbrook Inn, Chetola Resort, and The Inn At Ragged Garden, along with his background working with well-known companies like Marrott and Hilton, have given him a wealth of local knowledge. McKethan is the ideal candidate to oversee guest services at the hotel because of his vast experience fostering operational excellence across a variety of properties, as well as his participation in local tourism boards and the Blowing Rock Chamber.
