Minor Hotels has appointed Judd Rabbidge as the new General Manager of Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort. Effective July 2024.
Judd will head the upmarket lifestyle resort in the Baa Atoll, leveraging his passion for providing excellent guest experiences and business ability to achieve achievements.
Rabbidge, an Australian native, brings extensive expertise to his first general manager position. He most recently worked as the hotel manager at W Sydney, where he oversaw the pre-opening phase of the world’s largest W Hotel and an iconic feature in Sydney’s skyline. Rabbidge served as Director of Sales and Marketing at W Bali Seminyak from 2018 to 2022, helping to build the resort as a popular destination for affluent travelers. His employment also included overseeing operations at two additional Marriott hotels in the region, where he achieved high guest satisfaction and increased profitability. Rabbidge formerly held many top executive positions with Mantra Group, a significant Australian lodging provider.

Rabbidge earned a bachelor’s degree in applied hospitality, tourism, and business management from the Pacific International Hotel Management School in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
