Germantown, TN-based McNeill Hotel Company recently named hospitality industry veteran Chris Kontos to the position of Regional Director of Operations. MHC Vice President of Hotel Operations Jesse Kremer made the announcement.
In this role, Kontos will direct report to Kremer, and work closely with all general managers, assistant general managers, sales teams, housekeeping and other staff at individual hotels under his supervision. Operating goals will include adhering to a balanced scorecard approach, focusing on associate training and satisfaction, guest satisfaction, meeting brand standards and initiatives, and achieving financial success.
Kontos has more than 25 years of hospitality industry experience. Immediately prior to joining McNeill Hotel Company, Kontos served for ten years with Hotel Management Group as Regional Director of Operations of the Midwest and Carolina markets. His activities there included direct involvement in the development of Hyatt and Hilton branded hotels from pre-construction to grand openings.
Previously, Kontos worked with Cliffbreakers Hotel & Resort as General Manager; with CFI as Regional Director of Operations/General Manager and in Marketing & Sales; and with multiple Marriott properties in Illinois markets. Kontos earned a Bachelor in Business Administration at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL.
