Venezuela’s Conviasa Replaces E190 with A340 on Cuba Routes
Venezuela’s Conviasa has switched from Embraer E190 aircraft to Airbus A340 jets on its Cuba operations, increasing capacity on the route.
Venezuela’s Conviasa has replaced its Embraer E190 aircraft with larger Airbus A340 jets on flights to Cuba, according to reports.
The switch significantly increases passenger capacity on the route. The A340, a long-haul widebody aircraft, offers far more seats compared to the regional E190 previously used on the service.
Deploying a larger aircraft may reflect rising demand, operational adjustments, or strategic capacity planning between Venezuela and Cuba. Widebody aircraft can also provide enhanced cargo capability alongside passenger services.
The move highlights continued fleet flexibility within the airline as it adapts aircraft deployment based on route requirements and market conditions.
