With close to a decade of experience across hospitality and service organisations, Michael Bikash Gomes has developed a strong reputation for managing end-to-end human resources operations aligned with global brand standards. His career progression within Hyatt Hotels reflects consistent growth, operational reliability, and a people-first approach to HR leadership.

Currently serving as Human Resources Manager at Hyatt Place Hampi, Michael oversees the complete HR lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and development, employee retention, and offboarding. He plays a key role in implementing Hyatt’s People Philosophy across departments while coaching department heads on employee relations, disciplinary processes, and grievance handling. His responsibilities also include HR budgeting, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, and liaison with labour authorities and government inspectors.

Michael has been instrumental in strengthening employee engagement, welfare initiatives, and recognition programmes, contributing to a positive and compliant workplace culture. He prepares HR dashboards and reports for hotel leadership, manages training frameworks for all employees, and ensures strict adherence to operational budgets and corporate HR standards.

Prior to his current role, Michael served as Assistant Manager – Human Resources at Hyatt Place Hampi, where he supported HR operations during critical growth phases. His earlier experience includes roles as Human Resources Officer at Hyatt Regency Thrissur and Human Resources Coordinator at Hyatt Centric MG Road Bangalore, providing him with exposure to both luxury and lifestyle hotel environments. His early professional experience with 24[7] Inc. further strengthened his understanding of corporate HR operations and process discipline.

Academically, Michael holds a PG Diploma in Human Resource Management from NMIMS, a Diploma in Hotel Management from IIHM Kolkata, and a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialisation in Human Resources. His professional certifications include POSH Trainer accreditation, First Aid certification, and NCC “A” Certificate. He has also been recognised as Best Employee of the Month and honoured with sports awards at the state level, reflecting his all-round commitment and leadership qualities.
