Flipkart Group has announced two senior leadership appointments that further strengthen its finance and human resources capabilities as the e‑commerce giant continues to scale operations and prepare for future growth.

On February 9, 2026, Vipin Kapooria rejoined Flipkart as Vice President, Business Finance, while Yogita Shanbhag was appointed Vice President, Human Resources, marking a strategic enhancement of the company’s leadership bench across critical functions.

Vipin Kapooria to Lead Business Finance

Vipin Kapooria, a Chartered Accountant with more than 19 years of experience, returns to Flipkart to lead the business finance function across all categories. His role will involve partnering closely with business teams to drive financial discipline, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. Kapooria brings deep institutional experience from previous senior roles at Flipkart and leadership positions at organisations including OYO and Yum! Brands, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer at quick‑commerce platform Blinkit.

Strengthening Financial Leadership Ahead of Growth Milestones

Kapooria’s appointment comes as Flipkart continues to deepen its financial governance and planning frameworks, supporting its expansive portfolio that includes marketplace operations, Myntra, Flipkart Wholesale, Cleartrip and super.money. The company has been actively building leadership capability in anticipation of long‑term strategic milestones, including a potential initial public offering (IPO).

Yogita Shanbhag to Lead Human Resources

Yogita Shanbhag joins Flipkart as Vice President, Human Resources, where she will oversee the HR function for the OneTech Business Unit, a critical component of the company’s technology and product operations. With over two decades of experience across organisations such as Juniper Networks and Wipro, Shanbhag brings expertise in talent strategy, organisational design and employee engagement.

Fostering Organisational Resilience and People Strategy

In her new role, Shanbhag will focus on building organisational resilience, strengthening cultural alignment and supporting the company’s evolving talent agenda. Her leadership is expected to enhance Flipkart’s HR capabilities as it navigates growth, innovation demands and cross‑functional collaboration in an increasingly competitive tech and e‑commerce landscape.

Strategic Implications

The appointments of Kapooria and Shanbhag reflect Flipkart’s continued emphasis on leadership depth across functions that are central to its business performance. Strengthening finance and human resources leadership supports the company’s dual priorities of long‑term value creation and organisational robustness amid rapid expansion and market evolution.
