IHG Hotels leadership perspectives on growth and opportunities

We're thrilled to open our 50th hotel in India, said Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, MEA & Southwest Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts. This important milestone demonstrates our strong ties to the nation and our faith in its thriving travel and hospitality industry. India continues to be one of our most important international markets, and as we expand our varied portfolio of brands into new areas, we are thrilled about the opportunities it offers. We are bolstering our premium and luxury portfolio with our recognizable and well-established brands like Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, and Six Senses, even though national growth is still being driven by mainstream brands like Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Garner.

He added: “IHG has a proven track record of delivering strong returns for our owners – in addition to guest satisfaction, owner returns continue to remain a top priority for us in India.”

IHG Hotels & Resorts' Managing Director for South West Asia, Sudeep Jain, stated: "We are proud to have reached the 50-hotel milestone in India. The Crowne Plaza brand's strength and relevance in this market are further reinforced by the opening of Crowne Plaza Lucknow. More than just a figure, this opening reflects IHG's long-standing goals and strong pipeline in the nation. With a number of additional hotels planned for this year, we are dedicated to quickening our growth across all brand categories. Our objective is to increase our footprint in rapidly developing cities and provide both domestic and foreign visitors with outstanding hospitality experiences in all market segments, from mainstream to premium to luxury.
