JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar has announced the appointment of Ashis Chattopadhyay as Cluster Director of Finance, strengthening its leadership team with a seasoned finance professional known for disciplined governance and operational excellence. In this role, Ashis will oversee the finance function for eight Marriott hotels under Chalet Hotels Limited, leading financial strategy, compliance, governance, and performance across the cluster.

With over two decades of experience across audit, advisory, and hospitality finance, Ashis brings a deep understanding of multi-property financial operations. His appointment comes at a time when strong financial stewardship and future-ready systems are increasingly critical for large hotel portfolios.

Ashis began his professional journey with Deloitte, where he developed a strong foundation in audit and advisory services. He later transitioned into hospitality finance, holding senior leadership roles with renowned global brands including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, COMO Group, and Marriott International. Across these organisations, he has consistently driven finance transformation initiatives, strengthened internal controls, and improved operational efficiency.

Before taking on his new role at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, Ashis served as Multi-Property Director of Finance for Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway and Four Points by Sheraton Kochi, Infopark. During this tenure, he played a key role in enhancing financial governance and supporting performance-driven decision-making across properties.

His leadership has been widely recognised within the industry, earning several regional and market-level awards for finance transformation and technology adoption in South Asia. These accolades highlight his focus on modernising finance functions while maintaining rigorous governance standards.
