The Frankfurt base will support improved connectivity across short‑ and medium‑haul routes, feeding traffic into Lufthansa’s long‑haul network. The move reinforces Frankfurt’s role as a key hub within the group’s broader European strategy.
Lufthansa City Airlines was established to enhance operational efficiency and provide competitive regional capacity. By positioning aircraft and crews in Frankfurt, the airline aims to optimise schedules and improve network flexibility.
