New China–Vietnam Air Link Opens as Donghai Airlines Launches Shenzhen to Hue Service
Donghai Airlines inaugurates a new flight between Shenzhen in China and Hue in Vietnam, boosting tourism, trade and international connectivity through Hue’s Phu Bai International Airport.
Donghai Airlines has officially launched a new international service connecting Shenzhen in China with Hue’s Phu Bai International Airport in central Vietnam, marking a fresh milestone in expanding air travel options between the two countries.
The inaugural flight arrived in Hue on the evening of November 29, 2025, as part of the airline’s plan to operate regular services while promoting tourism and economic ties. More than 220 passengers were welcomed on the first day of operations.
City and airport officials held a reception at Phu Bai International Airport, presenting flowers and gifts to arriving passengers, reflecting the importance of the new link in fostering travel and cultural exchange.
Donghai Airlines is using Boeing 737 aircraft on the route and plans to operate flights with regular frequency during initial trial periods. The new service supports Phu Bai’s strategy to enhance its international network, especially following the opening of its expended Terminal 2 facility.
The new flight also aligns with broader efforts to attract more international visitors to Hue, which experienced strong tourism growth, with millions of visitors recorded in 2025 and significant year‑on‑year increases in foreign arrivals.
