JW Marriott Chandigarh has announced the appointment of Vishal Mehra as its new General Manager. With an illustrious career spanning over three decades across the Middle East, Central Asia, and India, Vishal brings a distinguished blend of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a strong people-first philosophy to the role.

Vishal Mehra is a highly respected hospitality professional and the proud recipient of the Gallup Global Manager of the Year Award – Great Workplace Award. This honour underscores his dedication to brand-led leadership, fostering high-performance cultures, and empowering teams to deliver outstanding results.

Extensive Global Experience

Across his 30-year career, Vishal has been instrumental in transforming hotels into market-leading luxury destinations through innovative thinking, meticulous operational standards, and an unwavering focus on authentic guest experiences.

His leadership footprint includes iconic global properties such as Burj Al Arab, Grand Hyatt Dubai, Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, and multiple Park Hyatt hotels in Chennai and the Maldives. He has successfully opened six hotels and converted two major properties, contributing significantly to Marriott and other renowned hospitality brands across multiple geographies.

Previous Roles and Achievements

Before joining JW Marriott Chandigarh, Vishal served as General Manager for Kathmandu Marriott Hotel and Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu, where he elevated both hotels to regional excellence in service delivery, guest engagement, and brand performance.

He has also played a key role in supporting Marriott’s strategic transitions in Indore, Hyderabad, and Rishikesh, ensuring operational alignment, service consistency, and strengthened guest experience outcomes.
