The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills is pleased to announce Roy Gerards as its new Director of Hotel Operations. In this role, he will assist in overseeing hotel management with a focus on driving operational excellence and enhancing guest experiences.
Roy boasts over 20 years of experience in hotel operations. His extensive career spans roles at prestigious hotels, including Hotel Manager at Parker Palm Springs, Director of Operations at The Beverly Hills Hotel, and Director of Food and Beverage at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. His leadership at Parker Palm Springs led to a remarkable improvement in LQA scores and a significant revenue boost. Passionate about mentoring and fostering a positive workplace culture, Roy is committed to empowering teams to deliver exceptional service. Fluent in English, Dutch, and German, Roy’s international perspective enables him to stay attuned to market trends while maintaining a focus on both guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Holding a Master of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism from USC and a Certified Sommelier designation from the Court of Master Sommeliers, Roy has demonstrated a results-driven approach throughout his positions. He has a proven track record in managing multi-departmental teams, optimizing financial performance, and improving guest satisfaction, particularly through strategic improvements in KPIs.
In his free time, Roy enjoys spending quality time at sport events or traveling with his wife, an accomplished Doctor in Veterinary Medicine, and his two sons. Born and raised in Maastricht, The Netherlands, Roy has worked and travelled extensively around Europe and resided several years in Australia before settling in Los Angeles.
