DRC’s Air Congo Wet Leases Boeing 737-800 from Ethiopian Airlines
Air Congo has wet leased a Boeing 737-800 from Ethiopian Airlines to support its operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Air Congo has secured a Boeing 737-800 through a wet lease agreement with Ethiopian Airlines to support its operational needs.
Under a wet lease arrangement, the aircraft is provided along with crew, maintenance, and insurance, allowing the airline to quickly expand capacity without committing to a long-term fleet purchase. The move is expected to strengthen Air Congo’s network and improve service reliability.
The Boeing 737-800 is widely used for short- and medium-haul routes and offers operational flexibility for regional markets. By partnering with Ethiopian Airlines, Air Congo benefits from the experience and technical support of one of Africa’s largest carriers.
