Air India has opened its first flagship Maharaja Lounge at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, located at Terminal 3.
The new lounge is part of the airline’s broader effort to improve ground services and offer a more premium experience to passengers. It is designed to serve both domestic and international travellers, with upgraded seating, dining options, and work areas.
The opening reflects Air India’s focus on improving customer touchpoints beyond the aircraft itself. Lounges play an important role in shaping passenger perception, especially for long‑haul and premium travellers.
Since coming under the Tata Group, Air India has been investing in fleet renewal, service upgrades, and airport facilities. The Maharaja Lounge is expected to set the standard for future lounge developments across other airports.
