Suzlon Energy has announced the appointment of Ajay Kapur as its Group Chief Executive Officer as part of a broader leadership restructuring aimed at strengthening the company’s long‑term strategy. The renewable energy company also introduced a new Group Executive Council that will guide the organisation’s strategic direction and growth initiatives.
Leadership shift under Suzlon 2.0 vision
The move aligns with Suzlon’s “Suzlon 2.0” vision, which focuses on transforming the company into a comprehensive renewable energy solutions provider. Under the new structure, the executive council will oversee long‑term priorities, while the Group CEO will lead business transformation and operational growth across the company’s businesses.
Industry veteran to lead next growth phase
Ajay Kapur brings more than three decades of experience across infrastructure, cement, construction and energy sectors. Prior to joining Suzlon, he served as Managing Director at Ambuja Cements. At Suzlon, Kapur will focus on scaling operations, strengthening leadership execution and supporting the company’s expansion into new renewable energy segments beyond wind power.
