Ananta Hotels & Resorts appoints Rupam Das as COO to lead operations, expansion and global growth across its luxury hospitality verticals.
Ananta Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Rupam Das as Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Ananta Global Hotels, marking a significant strategic move as the brand accelerates its domestic and international expansion plans.
With nearly three decades of extensive leadership across hotel operations, acquisitions, and business development, Rupam Das brings a robust and future-ready vision to the group. His experience with some of India’s most renowned hospitality brands positions him ideally to guide Ananta through its next transformative phase.
In his new role, Rupam will oversee operations across the company’s rapidly growing portfolio while leading global expansion initiatives across Ananta’s four core verticals: eco-luxury resorts, wildlife lodges, wellness sanctuaries, culturally immersive retreats, and full-service business hotels in tier-I, tier-II and tier-III destinations.
As part of the group’s ambitious growth roadmap, Rupam will also spearhead Ananta’s plan to launch 50 new properties worldwide over the next five years. His responsibilities extend to strengthening operational frameworks, improving efficiencies, and ensuring the brand’s strategic alignment with investor expectations.
“Ananta represents a commitment to authentic luxury, nature-inspired design and timeless elegance,” said Rupam Das, Chief Operations Officer. “It is an honour to join at this pivotal juncture. My primary focus will be on establishing scalable operational systems, entering high-potential markets, and building long-term alliances that reinforce Ananta’s service standards and sustainability principles. Alongside our promoters and experienced team, we will shape a global presence rooted in Indian hospitality excellence.”
Before joining Ananta, Rupam served as Senior Director of Business Development at The Clarks Hotels & Resorts for more than 14 years. There, he oversaw a portfolio of over 100 hotels across India and South East Asia, driving pre-openings, operational turnarounds, deal structuring and revenue strategy. He has also held key roles at ITC Hotels, Cambay Group, and Panoramic Resorts, earning a reputation for operational precision and inclusive leadership.
In his new role, Rupam Das will collaborate closely with the Goyal family and the senior leadership team to build on Ananta’s legacy of excellence, innovation and guest-centric design. His expertise is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening the brand’s global footprint while enhancing its commitment to authentic, experience-driven hospitality.
