DALLAS, Texas — Namak Indian Restaurant and Bar has appointed Chef Gaurav Chauhan as Executive Chef at its Downtown Dallas location on Pacific Avenue. He brings over a decade of culinary experience across India and the United States to the role.

In his new role, Chef Chauhan oversees kitchen operations, menu development, banquet execution and culinary team management at Namak Indian Restaurant and Bar. The Downtown Dallas restaurant serves authentic Indian cuisine in a modern setting at 1700 Pacific Avenue, with a full bar, private dining and catering services for events across the Dallas area.

Gaurav Chauhan comes to Namak from Sanjh Restaurant in Dallas, where he handled menu development, kitchen operations, staff training, inventory management, hygiene compliance and food cost control. His work in Dallas before this appointment gave him direct experience with the Indian dining market in North Texas.
Career Profile
Before moving to the United States, Gaurav Chauhan built his culinary career across some of India's most prominent luxury hotel kitchens. He began at Taj Mahal Hotel New Delhi, working across multiple kitchen departments in the early years of his career.
He then moved to The Park Kolkata, where he worked on menu planning, recipe standardisation and kitchen section management. His career continued at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity, where he gained experience in high-volume hotel culinary operations and multicuisine food production in one of Delhi's busiest airport-adjacent hotels.
He also worked at Andaz Delhi under Hyatt Hotels Corporation, adding a lifestyle brand's approach to food programming to his kitchen experience. Working across Taj, The Park, Pullman and Andaz over the course of his career gave him exposure to four distinct hospitality cultures and culinary standards.
He has also been involved in restaurant pre-opening work, covering kitchen planning, menu creation, equipment selection and team recruitment and training.
