He began his hospitality career with Taj Hotels, where he spent six years working across multiple properties. During this period, he was associated with The President Mumbai, Taj Falaknuma Palace, and Taj Palace New Delhi, gaining exposure to guest relations and front office operations in diverse hospitality environments.
His experience across these properties helped build expertise in guest engagement, service management, and operational coordination, laying the foundation for his subsequent leadership roles within the industry.

Following his tenure with Taj Hotels, Kakkad joined The Ritz-Carlton Pune as Front Desk Manager, where he further developed his operational leadership capabilities. He later moved to The Imperial New Delhi, serving as Duty Manager and gaining additional experience in managing day-to-day hotel operations and guest-facing functions.
Prior to joining Lemon Tree Premier Delhi Airport, he was associated with The Lalit Jaipur as Assistant Front Office Manager.
