ButterHands, a new dessert concept spun out of Delhi’s Melt House kitchen, has launched its flagship outlet at Select Citywalk in New Delhi, positioning itself as a bold entrant in India’s experiential food and beverage space.

What began as an in-house experiment for indulgent cookies soon developed a cult following at 32nd Avenue in Gurugram. Consistently sold-out batches and strong consumer demand encouraged the founders to scale the idea into a standalone brand and choose Select Citywalk — one of the capital’s busiest retail destinations — for its flagship.

At the heart of ButterHands is a singular focus: deliver what the brand describes as “the greatest cookies in the world.” The menu centres on New York-style cookies that are generous in size — close to 130 grams each — with a molten, stuffed centre and a contrast of crisp top and gooey interior designed for indulgent bites.

Founders Rohit Beniwal and his team have developed a lineup that reflects both culinary discipline and creative flair. Signature items include Salty Nutella Drip featuring walnuts, Dark Choco PB Smash, Caramelized White Choc & Berries Riot, Vegan Coconut Frenzy, Oreo Velvet Drip, Banoffee Caramel Anarchy, and the Hot Choc Marsh Melt cookie.

Complementing the cookie range are beverage offerings carried over from the Melt House repertoire, including classic hot chocolate, iced chocolate with malt cream, malted milkshakes, and curated coffee selections. The combination of robust dessert items with beverage pairings aims to position ButterHands as both a destination and a social experience.

Rohit Beniwal, Founder of ButterHands, said the concept is a “love letter to indulgence” built around baking fresh cookies every day with a focus on rigorous recipe development and flavour innovation. The brand deliberately appeals to a youthful, experience-hungry audience that values both quality and visual storytelling.

Head Chef Manushka Kapoor noted that months of precision testing went into perfecting the dough and fillings, with the objective of creating cookies that are familiar yet exciting in every bite.

With its flagship opening, ButterHands signals a measured but confident expansion into India’s organised dessert market. By leveraging the operational heritage of Melt House and marrying it with an independent brand identity, ButterHands aims to attract both casual dessert seekers and trend-driven consumers in one of the country’s most dynamic retail settings.
