JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia — Raffles Hotels & Resorts has officially opened Raffles Jeddah, a new luxury waterfront hotel located along the historic Corniche district of Saudi Arabia’s second-largest city.
The opening marks the brand’s second property in the Kingdom and further strengthens Saudi Arabia’s growing luxury hospitality landscape as international hotel brands continue expanding across the region.
Luxury Hospitality Expands Along the Red Sea
Overlooking the Red Sea, Raffles Jeddah is positioned near several major attractions including Fakih Aquarium, Red Sea Mall, Al Shalal Theme Park and Boulevard Jeddah.
King Abdulaziz International Airport is located approximately 25 minutes from the property, offering convenient access for international and regional travelers.
The luxury hotel combines modern hospitality design with traditional Hejazi architectural influences inspired by Jeddah’s maritime and cultural heritage.
Design Inspired by Historic Jeddah
The hotel incorporates traditional mashrabiya screens, carved wooden latticework, and heritage-inspired interiors designed to reflect the atmosphere of historic Al-Balad.
Interior spaces were designed by Robert Angell, while the wellness and spa facilities were created by designer Tristan Du Plessis.
The property also features contemporary artworks by Saudi and Middle Eastern artists displayed throughout public and guest spaces.
Large Luxury Rooms with Red Sea Views
Raffles Jeddah offers 182 guestrooms, including 40 luxury suites, all featuring uninterrupted views of the Red Sea.
Starting at approximately 66 square metres, the accommodations are among the largest luxury hotel rooms currently available in Jeddah.
The interiors use soft sea-inspired tones and modern luxury finishes combined with subtle regional design influences.
Dining, Wellness and Event Facilities
The hotel introduces multiple dining concepts focused on Jeddah’s evolving waterfront lifestyle and culinary scene.
Surl’O, the all-day waterfront brasserie, combines Eastern and Western culinary influences, while Atorie Lounge & Patisserie blends French pastry traditions with Japanese-inspired presentation.
A Mediterranean-inspired signature restaurant is also expected to open later.
The Raffles Spa and Wellness Centre includes gender-specific wellness spaces, Moroccan hammams, swimming pools, fitness facilities, and luxury treatment rooms.
The hotel additionally offers six meeting rooms, two large ballrooms, a business centre, and VIP event spaces targeting corporate and luxury social events.
Saudi Arabia Continues Expanding Luxury Tourism Sector
Industry analysts say the opening reflects Saudi Arabia’s accelerating investment in luxury tourism infrastructure under broader tourism diversification goals.
International hotel brands continue increasing their presence across Saudi Arabia as destinations including Jeddah, Riyadh, AlUla, and the Red Sea region attract rising international travel interest.
