Red Cliffs Lodge Moab, a retreat gateway to the region’s iconic Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, today announces the appointment of Nicholas Fogarty as general manager. As general manager, Fogarty will oversee the property management, including its current renovation project, manage a knowledgeable staff who provide world-class service to vacationers and the Moab community alike, and ensure that Red Cliffs Lodge Moab continues to facilitate a connection to the surrounding area’s magnetic beauty and charm.
With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Fogarty joins the Red Cliffs Lodge Moab team after spending more than a decade as director of food and beverage at the Hilton Cassara, Sheraton and Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. He moved on to a brief role as event services manager at Hyatt Regency La Jolla in San Diego, before most recently serving as director of banquets at Fairmont Grand Del Mar. During Fogarty’s tenure at these properties, the Fairmont being a 5-star resort, he managed daily operations of more than $20 million in annual sales, improved staff trainings and led teams of nearly 100 people.
Early in his career, Fogarty worked in multiple leadership roles in the lodging and food and beverage industry – from banquet manager to director – at properties across California. Proud of his ability to thrive in fast-paced and demanding environments, Fogarty has earned many esteemed designations throughout his career, including 2010 Manager of the Year, 2016 Manager of the Quarter and 2019 Manager of the Quarter.
Fogarty and his wife are enjoying all the region has to offer, camping and exploring new mountain biking and hiking trails with their dogs, Dibs and Pablo.
