1000 Island Hotels has announced the appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer (COO), reinforcing its leadership structure as the company continues to expand its footprint in the hospitality sector. In this role, Guiraud will oversee operational strategy, brand positioning, and organizational development across the group’s hospitality portfolio. Guiraud brings international experience spanning fine dining, hotel operations, education, and leadership development.

His early career was shaped within France’s culinary landscape, including professional exposure to Michelin-starred restaurants in the Pays Basque region. In India, he co-launched Manre Restaurant with Ramola Bachchan and played a role in the development and expansion of the Olive Restaurant Group. He also served as Director at Vatel Hotel & Tourism Business School in Gurugram, contributing to hospitality education and mentoring future industry professionals. Guiraud further held the position of Director – People & Culture at Suryagarh Collection, where he worked on leadership alignment, organizational culture, and service standards across the portfolio.

In his new role as Chief Operating Officer at 1000 Island Hotels & Resorts, he will focus on strengthening operational frameworks, enhancing guest experience design, and aligning people strategy with the brand’s long-term objectives.

His appointment marks a strategic addition to the leadership team as the company continues to develop its hospitality presence. The newly appointed COO will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, enhancing service standards, and driving operational efficiency across the company’s portfolio.

The move aligns with 1000 Island Hotels’ broader strategy to strengthen internal processes and deliver consistent guest experiences. With growing competition in the hospitality industry, strong operational leadership remains critical to sustaining growth and maintaining brand standards. The new COO is expected to focus on streamlining operations, improving performance metrics, and supporting expansion initiatives.

The appointment underscores 1000 Island Hotels’ commitment to investing in experienced leadership to navigate evolving market dynamics and support long-term business objectives in the hotel and tourism sector.
