Asheame Mehta appointed as Head of Purchase at Encalm Hospitality

Encalm Hospitality appoints Asheame Mehta as Head of Purchase, leveraging his 25 years of expertise in procurement, imports, and inventory management to drive growth and operational excellence. In his new role, Mehta will oversee the development and execution of strategic procurement practices at Encalm, ensuring efficiency and quality in sourcing, project management, and inventory management. He will enhance Encalm’s procurement framework, supporting the company’s mission to deliver premium hospitality experiences. Mehta joins Encalm Hospitality following a distinguished tenure with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, where he held pivotal procurement roles across corporate and hotel operations in prime locations, including Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bengaluru. He played a pivotal role in the opening of ten Oberoi hotels, including the brand’s iconic Vilas properties, through his work at the Central Purchase Team. His career journey began with Tata Oil Mills Company Ltd (TOMCO) as a trainee, followed by an influential role with Bharat Leather Corporation (a Government of India undertaking), where he specialized in the export and import of leather products. Known for his strategic approach, Mehta’s extensive experience spans sourcing, project procurement, contracting, inventory management, and team development, making him an invaluable asset to Encalm’s vision for innovation and efficiency in procurement. “We are delighted to welcome Asheame to Encalm.
