Eddy Loomans has been appointed Resort Manager at Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten

Eddy Loomans brings hospitality expertise to new role with the two all-inclusive resorts as he leads efforts in enhancing the overall experience for guests of all ages.

Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten, two all-inclusive resorts comprised of the luxe adults-only Sonesta Ocean Point Resort and family-friendly Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa, announced today the appointment of industry veteran, Eddy Loomans as the new Resort Manager. Loomans will utilize his deep understanding of hospitality and team management to oversee staffing, guest services, the new Ultimate Adults Only Club level accommodations and exclusive features, and more for both Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten properties.

With over two decades of hospitality experience, Loomans is a seasoned professional known for his effective leadership and strategic vision. Prior to joining Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten, he served as Hotel Manager at Sandals La Toc Saint Lucia. His diverse background includes successfully launching and managing resorts in the Maldives and Anguilla, showcasing his ability to drive growth and profitability in an island setting. Loomans has consistently built high-performing teams that elevate the guest experience, positioning him as an asset to the Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten team.

In his new role, Loomans will oversee the launch of the new Ultimate Adults Only Club a conversion of the ninth and tenth floors at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa to concierge level. Boasting a collection of modern and spacious accommodations along with curated amenities and exclusive features such as the new Cloud 9 open-air rooftop bar and lounge, Loomans will aide in positioning the sister properties to reach a broader audience with additional services, experiences, and more.
